Adult Education
Spring 2012
Introduction: The classes listed below offer a Christian Education opportunity for persons who are just beginning their faith walk as well as those who are long-time students of God’s Word. We invite you to come and find your place, joining others in the rewarding study of the Christian faith.
Information/Registration: For more information on any of our classes and/or to register, please call the church office at 830-980-7745. You may also register at any of the Sunday services.
Childcare: Childcare is available for all the classes that are offered. Please indicate your childcare needs when you register.
Sunday
Covenant Class (Sunday School)
9:45-10:50 a.m. Ongoing Upstairs Youth Lounge in the Family Center
This ongoing class learns and laughs together while using video resources, book studies, and bible passages. No prior class experience is necessary. The class is currently studying the book "Final Words From The Cross" by Adam Hamilton. All ages, singles and couples are welcome.
Seekers Class (Sunday School)
9:45-10:50 a.m. Ongoing Holy Grounds Room in the Fellowship Hall
Each week in this ongoing class, we read and discuss a chapter of the Bible – beginning with Genesis and continuing to Revelation. No prior knowledge of the Bible is required. All are welcome – single, couples, younger, older. Come join us on our journey as we learn and share together.
Sunday Morning Adult Study (Sunday School)
9:45-10:50 a.m. Starts Jan 15, 2012 Espresso Room in the Fellowship Hall
We are starting a third adult Sunday school class at 9:45 am.
Initially, this new class will study Adam Hamilton’s book: When Christians Get It Wrong. This study will last for approximately six weeks and start on January 15.

The Deep (Sunday School)
11:00 a.m. Ongoing Holy Grounds Room in the Fellowship Hall
Nothing is better than a group of believers sharing in faith and fellowship and going DEEPer in the Word. This class is open to young adults at any time.
Adult Sunday School Hour (Sunday School)
11:00 a.m. Starts Nov 13 Room 201 in the Children and Youth Building Facilitators: Vince and Karen Quidachy
A new six week study called "The Journey, Walking the Road to Bethlehem."
Monday
Disciple I: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
7:00 p.m. Starts Sep 19, 2011 Room 201 in the Children and Youth Building Facilitator: Jessie Killian
This class requires reading large portions of Scripture each week and is based on careful study and preparation. During the 32 week course, groups will move through the biblical stories of Creation to the New Jerusalem. Cost for the class is $36.75 for the study manual.

Tuesday Morning Women's Study
9:30 a.m. Starts Sep 20, 2011 Holy Grounds Room in the Fellowship Hall Facilitator: Barbara Verdoorn
This class will be studying “Attitude is your Paintbrush” by James Moore. Cost of the book is $15.
Wednesday
Beth Moore Study: James: Mercy Triumphs
6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Starts Jan 25, 2012 Location: TBD
Pastor Diana will be offering the new Beth Moore Study: James: Mercy Triumphs. Jesus' own brother started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple in this 9-week study. Learn how to put your faith into action.
This class will be offered on Wednesday evenings beginning January 25, 2012 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The cost of the study is $20.00.

Men's Bible Study

Attention All Men of the Church!!!
Do you dare to be courageous in your call, in your priorities, in the legacy you want to leave, and in your faith?
Using the movie Courageous, we will explore these questions. Pastor Ralph will begin facilitating this class on Wednesday, January 25, 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the youth lounge. Please Note: This study will be focused upon Dads with young families or men preparing to have families. Call the church office at 830-980-7745 to register for this class. Questions? Book Study
6:30 p.m. Starts Sep 7, 2011 Room 202 in the Children and Youth Building Facilitator: Marty Coons
This class will be studying “Paul,” a novel written by Walter Wangerin, Jr, and is open to men and women. Cost is $10 for the book.
Women's Study
6:30 p.m. Starts Sep 28, 2011 Room 205 in the Children and Youth Building Facilitator: Stephanie Clark
This class will be studying “Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food” by Lysa TerKeurst. Cost is $25 for the book.
Other Adult Opportunities
Celebrate Recovery
6:00 p.m. Every Monday Holy Grounds Room in the Fellowship Hall
This is a Christ Centered 12 step program. Celebrate Recovery is open to anyone with a hurt, habit, or hang up. Large group and small groups are held to address particular issues and fellowship. Dinner and childcare are provided.
